It transmits laser pulses at a considerably denser rate than other femtosecond laser devices. For this reason, the energy used to make the flap as well as the spot size are significantly smaller than with other femtosecond-based lasers.
Due to its low amount of energy, side effects and mechanical tensions on the cornea are as minimal as possible. Owing to the small spot size, the surgery itself can be more precisely, the base of the value is more even, and the cornea is further protected. Protecting the corneal membrane is particularly important with regard to patients who have an exceptionally thin cornea, as this reduces the risk of corneal protuberance.
