Eye examination after laser surgery

After the laser procedure is over, rest is provided in a dimly lit room and the nurse gives you instructions to take home with you. Your eyes may be sensitive to light for a few hours and you may get the feeling that there’s something in them. Pain relievers are nevertheless normally not required.

Before leaving for home, the physician examines your eyes to make sure that everything is okay. For almost all clients, sight precision at this point is the same as before the operation with glasses.

The next control visit is made one month after the surgery. At this time, the brightness of the cornea is checked, as well as sight precision and corneal topography. The physician also writes a driver’s licence certificate for you during this visit. The next session will take place if required in one year.
